Print Information

Most of my photographs are available in two kinds of printing processes: Platinum Palladium and Chromogenic. Below, you will find more information about each process that will help you decide which option to choose. The bottom line is – there is no bad option, none of the options are worse or better than the other and it’s purely a matter of taste and aesthetics. Most importantly, both options have unmatched archival properties and are handled with the same care.

All prints come hand-signed, numbered, and with the certificate of authenticity. Depending on the size and paper prints are either packaged in a tube or a large flat envelope. Smaller prints are typically shipped in an envelope to avoid unnecessary bending and curling.

Regardless of the option, please allow 4-6 weeks of production and delivery time as these prints are made to order.

Platinum Palladium

Platinum palladium printing is a traditional handmade photographic printmaking technique dating back to a period in photographic history that predates gelatin silver prints. Platinum palladium prints are unparalleled by any modern printing technique, both in appearance and performance. These prints are favored by art collectors due to their longevity and appearance.

FujiFlex Chromogenic Print (C-Type)

Chromogenic prints are made in traditional darkroom chemistry on Fuji Flex, the smoothest photo paper available. Its polyester base reflects light so that prints appear to glow from within. These prints are made on OCE 500XL or similar lightjet printers and then processed in RA-4 chemistry, and the result is incredible in detail and tonality photographic print.

If lighted properly on the wall these prints create a sense of presence, volume, and depth in the image that is otherwise impossible to see. Often, collectors get back to me saying that these prints almost glow from inside, and yes, they truly do.
