Sunrise Above the Canyonlands

The fun fact about this image and place itself is that dozens of photographers come here every day to the sunrise to capture this natural lightning effect of the rock which lasts for about 5 minutes only when the sun rises above the Canyonlands Valley. If you are one of them you would hardly find a free spot around to settle your tripod if you are late. As my photography gut feeling suggested I hiked to this spot at 4 a.m. being the first person there that morning and a lot of space to choose from for the best composition.
