You know what makes just a good phorograph to be a great picture? A set perfect conditions which may occure just once and for a couple of minutes ever.
When I saw this gull sitting just right there on top of the rock I thought, - "Well, that's great, but what about something else, something more special?". And then I saw this setting sun reflecting in the sky, and I thought - "This is this special ideal condition I was looking for!". Every artist is a perfectionist!
A minute after the sun has entirely set, the gull has flown away too.
