Above It All...

I have seen many sunrises and sunsets in my life. As a photographer on a trip your day usually starts long before the sunrise and ends way after the sunset with the first stars in a night sky.

This time was not an exclusion. We got out from our tent around 3am in the morning and in a complete pitch dark we muscled our way up the steep rocky mountain to the summit.

The sky looked mostly overcast and the gusty winds nocked us off our feet from time to time. I didn't wear too much layers, however I was sweating as hell after an hour of strenuous climb.

Finally, when we almost reached the summit, I noticed a small breach in the clouds that promised a good light for the sunrise.

The entire scene started to look absolutely UNBELIEVABLE a few moments after, when the sun showed its first rays, colouring the sky in such a bright pink paint.
